The lead-tin-silver alloy is formed by melting and rolling three metals - lead, tin, and silver. The addition of silver enhances the hardness and anti-warping properties of the alloy, while tin improves the welding performance, making it less prone to deformation and resistant to oxidation. It is commonly used in battery tabs, welding pads, and anti-corrosion conductive components.
The lead-tin-silver alloy sheet is corrosion-resistant, easy to weld, and has high strength. It undergoes cutting into strips, which is known as strip processing.
Step 1: Load the raw material coil onto the unwinding rack of the strip cutting machine and fix the coil to correct any deviation of the sheet.
Step 2: Set the specifications and adjust the blade spacing according to customer requirements. The width accuracy can be controlled within ±0.02mm.
Step 3: Feed the material, roll-cut, and use a high-speed circular blade to cut the wide sheet into multiple narrow strips at a longitudinal direction.
The lead-tin alloy is relatively soft, so the gap between the cutting tool must be finely adjusted to prevent edge burrs, rolled edges, and indentation. After the cutting is completed, multiple narrow strips are simultaneously wound up and neatly wound into small rolls.
After leaving the production line, each roll is inspected: the width size, thickness, whether there are edge defects, surface scratches, and confirmation that there is no oxidation or deformation. Only then can it be packaged and shipped.
The lead-tin-silver coil tape is widely used in film capacitors, precise welding of electronic components, metal airtight sealing, and instrument component packaging. It can also be used as a friction-reducing bearing bush and vibration damping pad. The alloy has anti-warping properties, stable solder joints, and is commonly used as a soldering material roll in the electronic and precision sealing industries.
We can customize the width and thickness according to the customer's requirements. The lead-tin-silver strip tape has good conductivity, is firmly welded, resistant to fatigue, and is often used for battery connections, electrical sealing, and anti-corrosion pads.
